The strip method is the most used one. This consists in extracting hair with a scralp in the back of the head. Once extracted it cuts small cubes (most of them will consist of 1 or 2 hairs, seldom 3 or 4). Later they will implant again in a small incision made  with a small blade.

It´s an operation:
1. painful and sometimes for life

2. with plenty of blood associated with a lot of risks

3.  that requires deep stitches,

4.  that implants a thick diameter hair in front extracted from the middle of the crown and, therefore, it provides little natural results,

5. with risks of infection and important complications (it could result in necrosis)

6.  that  leaves increasingly wide scars as the number of interventions grows,

7. where 30 to 40% of the grafts do not grow

8.  that induces results with a low density of hair and forces to repeat the operation from 2 to 3 times to implant again 1,000 grafts, getting only 1,200 hairs that grow in each session…

1. We only need 30mn to cut a strip of scalp, and extracting and sewing the large incision produced strongly. The process of stitch of the cut consists in unsticking the scalp and stretching strongly to bring the sides of the incision and sewing. But , above all,  it is a favourable method to the doctor because he can make a lot of operations in a single day.

2. Doctor can then entrust his assistants the cut of the "strip" in follicular units 1, 2 and 3 hairs that implant again while the surgeon cuts out another strip in another patient…
